Electronics and Batteries

Those hidden power sources in your everyday devices can easily spark dangerous, hard-to-fight fires if they get crushed or punctured by our heavy equipment.

  • If you are tossing out an old phone, laptop, power tool, or toy with a rechargeable battery, please pop the battery out first and sort it into our battery recycling.

  • Can't get the battery out? No worries at all. Just hand the intact device directly to one of our friendly attendants at the facility, and we will make sure it’s handled safely.

🚨 Quick favour: Don't let the wind win!

We all know the wind has a mind of its own. Avoid flying debris off the highway and out of the ditches to keep our communities looking great.

Please make sure your load is fully tarped and strapped down before you leave the driveway. (Note: Double-check those straps before you leave, unsecured loads will catch an extra fee at the gate! Thank you!)

Remember to call ahead, as we close on days with high winds for everyone’s safety.
